Paul Childers & The Makers

2027 biography

We are thrilled to announce The Only Human Tour 2027, marking our fifth consecutive year bringing Paul Childers & The Makers across the Atlantic. What began as a initial European run has evolved into an incredible annual tradition, expanding this year into our most ambitious journey yet—spanning The Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia, followed by a second European leg and a full US tour.

The Sound & The Story

Nashville-based singer-songwriter and guitarist Paul Childers is a leading force in the modern guitar movement. Blending virtuosic skill with the blues-rooted souls of Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughan, Childers crafts infectious pop anthems infused with R&B, jazz, and soul—in the stylistic vein of John Mayer, Marcus King, and Tom Misch.

From his 2017 Billboard debut, Naked Poetry, to opening for legends like Vince Gill and Robert Cray, Childers has earned a reputation for his dual nature: a mild-mannered gentleman off-stage who transforms into a powerhouse guitar-slinger the moment the lights hit.

The Evolution

Since first crossing to Europe, Paul Childers & The Makers have built a dedicated international following through relentless, high-energy touring:

• 2019–2023: Established a strong foothold in the UK and mainland Europe with the This Is All We Have Now and Love Again tours.

• 2024: Expanded into Poland and Italy with the 17-date Feeling Alright run.

• 2025: Reached a new milestone with the Time Flies tour—a record-breaking 21-show European leg followed by a massive US run, including a performance at the legendary Woodstock.

• 2026: Launched the Everything Computer era and the Wanna Be Famous tour, welcoming Dutch guitarist Kor Nelis to the lineup and taking their signature "guitar madness" to an elevated live level.

2027: The Only Human Era

In 2027, the band returns to the road stronger than ever for The Only Human Tour, featuring a lineup anchored by Paul Childers (Guitar/Vocals), Rudy Hoevenaar (Keys), Chris Vingerhoets (Bass), and Arthur Mols (Drums). Kicking off in April with a special live-recording performance in Amsterdam set for a future vinyl release, this tour brings the band's rich groove, sharp songwriting, and dynamic stage presence to stages across Europe and the US.
